Accreditation

The University of Applied Management (UAM) Ghana Campus is a international private higher educational institution that specializes in Applied Management and is accredited by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), Ministry of Education, since 2008. It’s international affiliates in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Malta hold State Accreditations and with recognised accrediting agencies such as Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA) and the Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance Institute (ACQUIN).

 

                 

 







QUALITY ASSURANCE IN TEACHING, RESEARCH AND SERVICE

The demands of our students, teachers and cooperation partners for the highest quality in teaching, research and service are rightly high. Quality management at UAM sees itself as a cross-cutting issue that encompasses all areas with all processes. In order to ensure the establishment and optimization of the quality structure at UAM in the long term, our quality management strategy serves as an orientation in planning, implementation, documentation and communication. Nevertheless, quality management cannot be “prescribed”, but only “brought to life” through the dynamic participation and inclusion of all university members.

 

The University of Applied Management has set up a quality management system for teaching, research and service with the aim of institutionalizing the review, assurance and improvement of quality in these areas. This obligation arises not only from the legal framework, but also from the self-image of the University of Applied Management, according to which high-quality services in teaching, research and administration form an integral part of its ideal of a modern university. Important goals of the quality management concept are:

 

 

  • Recognizing problem and perspective areas
  • Development of solution and security strategies
  • Individual feedback at the university lecturer level
  • Department-oriented feedback
  • Creation, strengthening, and establishment of communicative structures
  • Standardization of internal university data collection
  • Creation of a working basis for quality assurance and promotion measures
  • Development and modernization plan for the university and departments


STUDENT COURSE AND EXTERNAL EVALUATION

 

STUDENT COURSE EVALUATION

At the end of each semester, all students review and assess the performance of their instructors and support services. The results are charted graphically and used as a basis for quality control and improvements.

 

EXTERNAL EVALUATION

Mentors from the scientific advisory committee review and assess the didactic concepts before use and are subject to evaluation after every semester. The study programs and institutional processes are regularly reviewed and accredited by the relevant national and international accreditation agencies.
