ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND APPLICATION PROCESS

 

ADMISSIONS

The academic year is divided into two semesters, with the Summer Semester beginning in March and the Winter Semester beginning in October. This implies that students can begin their studies twice a year, offering them more flexibility in terms of when they can start their study.

 

After receiving your application and the relevant documentation, our admissions team will analyze your application and make a decision within weeks. If you are accepted, you will receive an offer letter and instructions on how to proceed with the enrolling process.

 

We feel that a solid foundation in English is important for success in our programs at UAM Ghana. We will demand confirmation of English competence, if you are not a natural English speaker.

BACHELOR ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

 

WASSCE/NECO

Minimum C6 in 6 subjects including:

  • Core English
  • Core Mathematics
  • Either Integrated Science or Social Studies
  • Three (3) Electives in relevant subjects

Applicants should have an aggregate score of 6 – 36 in the WASSCE.

 

SSCE

Six (6) passes including:

  • Core English
  • Core Mathematics
  • Either Integrated Science or Social Studies
  • Three (3) Electives in relevant subjects

Applicants should have an aggregate score of 6 – 24 in the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations.

 

IGCSE/O-Levels & A-Level

Five (5) Credit passes in GCE ‘O’ Level Examination, including:</>

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Three (3) ‘A’ Level passes in relevant subjects
  • A pass in the General paper is required

 

English International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma

Minimum of 5 credit passes in the IGCSE/O-Levels (Mathematics and English mandatory) and a minimum score of 4 points in 3 Higher Level (HL) subjects.

 

French International Baccalaureate

Minimum of 50% overall average pass. Results to be presented to GTEC for verification where Mathematics and English are mandatory.

*** Applicants are to submit a certified copy of the original score, transcript and a certified translated copy of both in English ***

 

American / Canadian High School Diploma

Minimum GPA of 3.0 where English and Mathematics are mandatory

 

*** Applicant should note that other equivalent certificate or exam results approved by GTEC will be accepted ***

 

 

MASTER ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Successful completion of a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 210-ECTS credit points. Bachelor degrees with less than 210-ECTS credit points, missing credits can be completed within a practice semester. Applicants who have completed degrees outside of the relevant disciplines (e.g. Engineering) will be required to complete intensive Pre-Program Courses.
